KING COUNTY, WA - Starting Thursday, September 2, 2010, public and non-profit organizations are invited to submit proposals for support services to low-income persons living with HIV/AIDS in King, Snohomish and Island counties. The projected amount available in this competitive Request-for-Proposal (RFP) application process is approximately $5.1 million from March 2011 through February 2012.
Based on the needs assessment and prioritization processes conducted by the HIV/AIDS Planning Council and Public Health - Seattle & King County, funding will be awarded for the following care service categories:
Food Banks/Home Delivered Meals | $394,000 |
Home and Community-based Health Services | $205,000 |
Housing Services | $664,000 |
Medical Case Management | $1,729,000 |
Medical Nutrition Therapy | $129,000 |
Mental Health Services | $380,000 |
Oral Health Care | $425,000 |
Outpatient/Ambulatory Health Services | $1,210,000 |
Referral for Health Care/Supportive Services | $75,000 |
Substance Abuse Services (Outpatient) | $245,000 |
The RFP for HIV/AIDS care services will be available on the King County Procurement and Contract Services Section website. The RFP number is 1203-10RLD. Completed applications must be received by Thursday, October 14, 2010 at 2:00 pm.
A Pre-Proposal Conference at which technical assistance in understanding and completing the application packet will be offered to agencies on Wednesday, September 8, 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. at the King County Chinook Building, 401 Fifth Avenue, Room 121, Seattle, WA. Applicants are strongly encouraged to attend.
